Can the one, whose life goals are not ambitious, be considered ordinary as a personality? Is it necessary to become someone important to enjoy the things you have and be a star of your own reality? Lolita Kiricenka and Dovile Berlinskaite present the international social documentary photography project “Ordinary Stars“, which tells eight stories of often unnoticed people, who share their experiences and individual approach to life in post-soviet countries. Through this work, the authors seek to reveal the uniqueness of each person and show, that regardless of differing social status or living conditions, everyone deserves dignity. Photographs were taken between 2013 and 2015 in Lithuania, Georgia, Russia and Belarus. The project was presented in two solo exhibitions in 2016: at Container gallery (Tbilisi) and Užupis Art Incubator gallery "Kalnas" (Vilnius).
